Oh, the juice. It's essentially mashed fruit. Strawberry and mango...life is fantastic.
On campus, it's mostly junk food - including a McDonald's! I haven't actually bought anything yet. We have had included group meals a few times. One was pizza, one included chocolate cake.
Tomorrow night, a friend who's been in Cairo for a month is taking us downtown to the market, where I will be able to get fresh fruit! Yay!!

I take it you missed the Great One's speech. Didn't see the news this morning, or maybe he hasn't even spoken yet. I see your blog was listed at 2:46 a.m. I hope that wasn't local time. What's the time difference ? I presume about 10 hours. Can you drink the water there ? Uncle Al
ReplyDeleteI did not miss the speech, in fact. The difference is eight hours or so, I think. Local time, right now, is 3:05 pm.
