Two months in Cairo, a year's worth of Arabic, and a very happy girl.
Marhaban! (Welcome!)
Summer 2009, I will be studying abroad in Cairo, Egypt as a student in the American University in Cairo at their Arabic Language Institute. Egypt is known as "The Mother of the World." Join me as I meet my mother at last!
I don't think so. People may well fall off getting up and down - the camel is made to kneel while people get up on its back, then does a very lilting up-down to stand up. Girls (and guys) were squealing like crazy. No one in our group actually fell off, though.
Are camels known to throw folks off their backs? Not that I'd like to be the first one! Enjoy!
