I have the visa. 'Tis a thing of beauty. I biked to the Metra station from my friends' house (a little under three miles), trained into downtown, walked the less than two miles to the Consulate, and pretty much just grabbed it. I should be all set to go!
We're getting very close...56 hours and I'll be on a plane.

Sounds like you're on to a good start. We'll be waiting to learn more about the place through you; so be a good spot. In the meantime, what exactly are you planning on enjoying the most while in Egypt: the food, the classes, the people, the culture, the everything...? Safe flight and have fun.
ReplyDeleteMark.
Definitely the people. And climbing through pyramids...
ReplyDeleteImproving my language will be great. I'm excited to be doing that both in the classroom and while I'm in the town.
Have a wonderful time! Pat a camel for me- or, better- ride one!
ReplyDeleteDo blog frequently, please.

You are so bizarre, child--there can't be many people who would consider their visa "a thing of beauty".
ReplyDeleteHave fun, little girl!!
